About Pay Partners

In 2018 Pay Partners became employee owned. This is a relatively new form of structure in the UK involving the creation of an Employee Ownership trust (EOT) and reflects our 100 percent belief in our employees being the lifeblood of the business.

Our core values are focussed on continuous improvement and to be at the forefront of knowledge as payroll legislation and its complexity continues to be the key reason why our customers have looked to outsource this function.

Transparent Pricing.

Pay Partners are committed to value in service delivery and believe that customers should have transparent pricing to evaluate their investment.

We charge £2.99 per employee per payroll (Subject to a £50 monthly minimum charge).

Employee Ownership Association

The EOA is a not for profit and politically independent organisation that works in close partnership with its members to champion, promote and provide insight into the business case for employee ownership. Members benefit from unique learning, networking and trading opportunities across the network of diverse companies of all sizes and sectors.

ISO 9001:2008

Pay Partners currently holds British Standard ISO 9001. Core requirements for accreditation:

  • Demonstration of ability to consistently provide a service that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Processes for continual improvement of systems and assurance of conformity to the highest commercial and regulatory standards

Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals

Pay Partners employees are accredited by the CIPP

The CIPP has been providing payroll and pensions support to individuals and businesses since 1980 when the Association of Pensions and Superannuation Administrators (APSA) was formed. In 1998 APSA merged with the Institute of British Payroll Managers (IBPM) and became the Institute of Payroll and Pensions Management (IPPM). Following research and feedback from members the IPPM became the Institute of Payroll Professionals (IPP) in 2007 and was granted Royal Chartered status in March 2011.

Pay Partners Managing Director Neil Smith MBE is a past president and board member of the Chamber.

The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) is a dynamic and independent business network with Accredited Chambers in every nation and region of the UK. Pay Partners are members and active contributors to the chamber.


Pay Partners are fully BACS accredited

Bacs has been maintaining the integrity of payment related services since 1968, with responsibility for the schemes behind the clearing and settlement of UK automated payment methods, Direct Debit and Bacs Direct Credit, as well as the provision of managed services for third parties, such as the Cash ISA Transfer Service, and the development, management and subsequent ownership of the Current Account Switch Service.
